On Wednesday 3 December 2025, Luxembourg's Public Transport Administration announced upcoming changes to the RGTR regional bus routes.

As part of the ongoing optimisation of the RGTR bus network, adjustments will be made to the schedules and routes of approximately 70 bus routes from Sunday 14 December 2025.

These changes coincide with the Europe-wide timetable change for the rail network. They aim to meet the needs of passengers while improving service quality.

The main changes are as follows:

  • Two new RGTR bus routes, along with optimisations to some existing RGTR routes, will support the increased bus service in the southern region: the RGTR network will be expanded to include routes 643 (Esch-sur-Alzette – Pontpierre, replacing the TICE 17 route) and 651 (Oberkorn – Volmerange-les-Mines (France));
  • Greater comfort and appeal on cross-border routes: to meet increasing demand, routes 604 (LUX, Centre – Esch/Alzette – Cantebonne (F)), 605 (LUX, Centre – Villerupt (F)) and 606 (LUX, Centre – Differdange – Hussigny (F)) to France will benefit from additional services during peak hours, aimed at offering more space and better comfort for passengers;
  • Improvements in preparation for the opening of the Dippach-Gare bypass: the routes of buses 750 and 755 will be adapted in close collaboration with the municipal administrations of Reckange-sur-Mess and Dippach, and the frequencies of routes 622 and 623, as well as between routes 750 and 755, will be adjusted to improve service reliability.

The new timetables can already be viewed on www.mobiliteit.lu and on the Mobiliteit.lu mobile application.
