The City of Luxembourg (Ville de Luxembourg - VdL) has announced that adaptations to the AVL municipal bus network will come into effect from Sunday 22 February 2026, due to the planned closure of bridge OA726 on Rue des Hauts-Fourneaux in Dommeldange for approximately two years.

According to the VdL, the reorganisation aims to ensure an efficient and reliable public transport service throughout the duration of the works.

In Dommeldange, bus line 3 will be diverted via Rue de Beggen and Rue de la Cimenterie towards its Henri Dunant terminus. It will continue to serve the Cyprien Merjai stop and its terminus; however, the Dommeldange stops previously served by line 3 will no longer be served by this line. To maintain service to the Chingiz Aitmatov stop, line 25 will be extended to this stop. As line 25 does not operate on Sundays, line 23 will be extended to Chingiz Aitmatov on that day and will also serve the other Dommeldange stops.

In addition, line 81 will be split into two separate lines in order to continue serving the Beggen and Dommeldange districts while avoiding significant increases in journey times. A new line 82 will also be introduced from Sunday. The VdL noted that all currently served stops will be maintained.

The new network map and detailed timetables are available at bus.vdl.lu. Printed timetable leaflets for all lines will also be available at the Infobus counter (Place d’Armes, Cercle Cité building, corner of Rue Genistre) from mid-February 2026.
