Luxembourg's Ministry of the Economy has announced a significant increase in diesel and heating oil prices.
As of Thursday 5 March 2026, the price of diesel at the pump has risen by 21.1 cents to €1.696 per litre (including VAT). The price of heating oil (10 ppm S, ≥ 1 500 litres) has similarly increased by 22.3 cents to €1.145 per litre.
The price of diesel for industrial and commercial use has risen by 21.2 cents to €1.252 per litre, while that of diesel for agricultural and horticultural use has also increased by 21.2 cents, reaching €1.099 per litre.
Prices for LPG and propane have also risen, to 80.4 cents (+7.7 cents) and 85.2 cents (+8.1 cents) per litre, respectively.
The price of unleaded 98 octane petrol has increased by 3.1 cents to €1.648 per litre, while that of unleaded 95 octane petrol remains unchanged at €1.522 per litre.
Fuel prices have surged in several countries, including Germany and the United Kingdom, in recent days amid the ongoing crisis in the Middle East.
