The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a large-scale traffic control operation took place on the N31 in Pétange on Tuesday 10 March 2026.
The operation, conducted jointly with the Customs and Excise Agency, ran from 16:00 to 17:45 in front of the PED roundabout.
A total of 56 drivers received a fine (€250 and 4 penalty points) for using a mobile phone while driving.
Ten motorists were found to be driving without a valid vehicle inspection certificate (€145 and 2 penalty points), while seven others were caught driving with road tax stickers that had expired less than 60 days prior (€74).
In addition, two drivers received fines for vehicle registration plate violations (€145 and 2 points), one driver was fined for improperly fastening a child's seat belt (€145) and another was fined for wearing headphones while driving (€74).
