The City of Luxembourg (VdL) has announced that lifting works will take place on Avenue de la Faïencerie on Saturday 21 March 2026 from 06:00 to 15:00.
According to the VdL, this will require the following traffic arrangements during the duration of the works:
- Avenue de la Faïencerie will be closed to all traffic between buildings nos. 96–100;
- Avenue de la Faïencerie will be closed to traffic between Rue François Faber and Rue Ermesinde.
The City of Luxembourg’s Traffic Department has said appropriate signage will be put in place.
In addition, the VdL has announced the following changes to public transport services during the road closure:
- In the direction of Lycée Michel Lucius, routes 8 and 30 will be diverted via Avenue Victor Hugo. The stops Faïencerie-INL Quai 1, Henri VII Quai 1, Ermesinde Quai 1 and Uni Campus Limpertsberg Quai 1 will be suspended and replaced by the stops Theater Quai 1, Lycée de Garçons Quai 1 and Alen Tramsschapp Quai 1;
- In the direction of Fondation Pescatore, routes 8 and 30 will be diverted via Avenue Pasteur. The stops Batty Weber Quai 2, Uni Campus Limpertsberg Quai 2, Ermesinde Quai 2, Henri VII Quai 2 and Faïencerie-INL Quai 2 will be suspended and replaced by a temporary stop outside buildings nos. 119–115 on Avenue Pasteur, as well as the stops N.S. Pierret, Alfred de Musset, Allée Scheffer and Theater Quai 2.
