The Automobile Club du Luxembourg (ACL) has announced that the third edition of the ACL F4 eSports Cup by E-Motion Luxembourg will feature a season marked by the introduction of international circuits, in response to participant demand, starting on Thursday 16 April 2026.
According to the ACL, driving Formula 4 single-seaters, eSports drivers will once again compete throughout the season. This year, the focus is on international circuits following strong demand from participants, with races set to take place on iconic tracks such as Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Autodromo Nazionale Monza and Algarve International Circuit.
The ACL noted that last season saw numerous races decided by photo finishes, with minimal gaps between drivers, and a similarly high level of competition is expected this year.
Ahead of each race meeting, a qualifying phase is scheduled, with drivers given five days, from Thursday to Monday prior to race day, to set a reference time and secure their place in the official race, which will take place the following Thursday.
For the 2026 season, the E-Motion Luxembourg simulator centre, recently opened in Wickrange and equipped with next-generation simulators, joins the competition as the main partner.
The season will begin on 16 April with the opening round at the Nürburgring. Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Okayama International Circuit and Road Atlanta will follow, before a summer break during the holiday period. The competition will resume on 24 September at Autodromo Nazionale Monza, continue at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, and conclude in Algarve International Circuit on 29 October, according to the ACL.
The ACL F4 eSports Cup by E-Motion Luxembourg is run on the iRacing simulation platform. An eSports licence is required to participate; for first-time licence applicants, an iRacing subscription is offered by ACL Sport to those who do not yet have an account, the ACL added.
