Luxembourg Para Athletes Claim World Titles & International Podiums

On Monday 31 August 2026, the Luxembourg Paralympic Committee (LPC) reported a series of international results for Luxembourg athletes, including two world titles for Liz Conzemius in Blind Tennis, a bronze medal in doubles for Nicolas Berodt and second place overall for Carlos Neves in the UCI Challenge Breton International para cycling competition.

From Monday 24 to Saturday 29 August 2026, Liz Conzemius and Nicolas Berodt competed at the 2026 IBTA World Blind Tennis Championships in Vilnius, Lithuania. In the women’s B2 category, Liz Conzemius won the singles world title after defeating Australia’s Courtney Webeck 5/4, 4/2 in the final.

Liz Conzemius then claimed a second world title in the women’s doubles alongside Courtney Webeck. The pair recorded two 6/0 victories in the semi-final and final.

Also competing in the men’s B2 category, Nicolas Berodt finished fifth in singles. In doubles, partnering Ireland’s Vincent Keane, Nicolas Berodt reached the semi-finals before securing third place with a 6/1 victory in the bronze-medal match.

Liz Conzemius and Nicolas Berodt, who represent Tennis Spora, were accompanied in Vilnius by their coach Charlotte Rodier. According to the LPC, the results also reflected the ongoing collaboration between the committee and Tennis Spora for the development of Blind Tennis in Luxembourg.

In para cycling, Carlos Neves (MH4) competed in four events of the UCI Challenge Breton International in France. Carlos Neves finished third in Landaul, won in Plouay, took another third place in Ploërmel and placed second in the time trial.

According to the committee, these results saw Carlos Neves finish second in the final overall standings of the competition.
