A Christmas-themed competition organised by Cactus supermarkets in collaboration with Luxair Luxembourg Airlines saw 100 children, accompanied by a family member, take to the skies on Saturday 5 December 2015 in search of Saint Nicholas.
To enter the competition, the children had placed their entry ticket, cut out of the 'Jouets 2015' Cactus catalogue, into a special box at their local supermarket, before a prize draw selected the winners.
The Yuppi and LUXi mascots greeted the children at Luxembourg Airport, who then boarded the plane to try spot Saint Nicholas in his sleigh. Saint Nicholas appeared on the flight, greeting the children and returning to the airport with them, where he handed them a 'Tiitchen' and a gift they had chosen during the competition.
