On Thursday 22 January 2026, the Luxembourg Veterinary and Food Administration (ALVA) announced the recall of “Picot standard first age” and “Picot standard second age” baby formula products from the Picot Laboratoire brand.
The ALVA has advised consumers not to use the products concerned due to the possible presence of cereulide, a toxin produced by the micro-organism Bacillus cereus.
The concerned baby formula products are both made by Picot Laboratoire: “Picot standard 1er âge” (850 g) with a best before date of 20 February 2027 and lot number 8000003298; and “Picot standard 2ème âge” (850 g) with a best before date of 29 January 2027 and lot number 8000003281.
According to the ALVA, both products may have been distributed at various points of sale in Luxembourg. Consumers who have purchased the affected product are strongly advised not to consume it and to return it to the place of purchase.
