On Monday 26 January 2026, the Luxembourg Veterinary and Food Administration (ALVA) announced the recall of Calisma Relais 1st Age infant formula powder due to the possible presence of toxins.

The ALVA has advised consumers not to use the products concerned due to the possible presence of cereulide, a toxin produced by the micro-organism Bacillus cereus.

The following product has been recalled: 

⁃ Gallia: “Calisma Relais 1st Age”, 830 g; barcode: 3041091725943; use by date: 13 October 2026; lot number: 111501972.

According to the ALVA, the product may have been distributed at various points of sale in Luxembourg. 

There is currently an orange awareness level alert in place (i.e. medium risk/danger).

Consumers who have purchased the affected product are strongly advised not to consume it and to return it to the place of purchase.
