On Wednesday 13 May 2026, the Luxembourg Veterinary and Food Administration (ALVA) announced an updated recall of the Nutrilon PROfutura 1 infant formula powder due to the possible presence of toxins.

The ALVA has advised consumers not to use the products concerned due to the possible presence of cereulide, a toxin produced by the micro-organism Bacillus cereus.

The following product has been recalled: Nutrilon “PROfutura 1” infant milk powder, 800 g, barcode 8718117612352, use by date: 4 June 2027.

The product may have been sold in various stores across Luxembourg. ALVA noted that this infant milk powder had already been recalled in February 2026 but returned to the market following an error in the distribution chain abroad, which led to the sale of non-compliant products.

Consumers who have purchased the affected product are strongly advised not to consume it and to return it to the place of purchase.
