On Monday 21 September 2026, the Luxembourg Football Federation (FLF) announced that Eldin Dzogovic had been called up to the Red Lions (Rout Léiwen) squad as a precaution ahead of their upcoming UEFA Nations League matches.
According to the FLF, the call-up follows a knee injury sustained by Seid Korac during a match for his club, Hellas Verona in Serie A, on Sunday 20 September 2026. The Luxembourg defender will undergo an MRI scan to determine the nature and severity of the injury. The FLF added that Tim Hall of UNA Strassen could not be called up because of a back injury.
Head coach Jeff Strasser’s squad now comprises 26 players. Luxembourg will play four matches over eleven days, beginning at home against Iceland on Saturday 26 September. The Red Lions will then face Bulgaria at the Hristo Botev Stadium in Plovdiv on Tuesday 29 September and Estonia in Tallinn on Saturday 3 October, before hosting Bulgaria at the Stade de Luxembourg on Tuesday 6 October.
