The Belle Etoile shopping centre, represented by Bernadette Muller and Manu Konsbruck has presented a cheque of €9,345 to Frank Schmit and Gilbert Santer of the Luxembourg Red Cross, following the “Old Tableware” collection drive initiative, held last month.
Customers were invited to bring their old tableware and dishes for €0.50 a kilo, and were then placed on sale at the price of €4 a kilo.
Volunteers from the Red Cross oversaw the operation of the initiative, which collected a total of 8,700kg worth of old dishes, and resold more than 4,300kg.
