On Friday 16 May 2025, the inauguration of the new Tennis Club (TC) Smash clubhouse took place in the presence of members of the College of the Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Luxembourg (VdL), Luxembourg's Minister of Sport, Georges Mischo, the President of the Luxembourg Tennis Federation (FLT), Claude Lamberty, and the President of TC SMASH, Laurent Ley.
The VdL described this new clubhouse, located at 18 Boulevard Paul Eyschen in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg, as "the true social heart of the club, where members of all generations can meet beyond the court. It is a privileged place where players can connect, share a drink or a meal, or simply enjoy a moment of relaxation after physical activity in a welcoming setting where sport becomes a vector of social cohesion".
Tennis Club Smash was founded in 1971 by VdL staff members with the aim of dedicating itself entirely to recreational tennis in a friendly atmosphere. Today, the club's facilities are open to all and consist of two recently renovated pro-clay tennis courts and a new clubhouse. During the summer season, the club offers private training sessions for children, women and men and provides its members with the facilities to practice tennis at will. In addition, the club organises various sporting and culinary events each year.
