The Upper Sûre Nature Park and the Haute-Sûre Forêt d’Anlier Nature Park have announced they will host a free hike along the Sûre river on Sunday 8 February 2026, from 09:15 to 16:00.

The organisers say the aim of this event is to raise awareness of the diversity and ecological importance of the wetlands in this river landscape.

Following a bus transfer from Martelange, participants will undertake a 5 km hike to the Boulaide Mill and then to Boulaide village. A hot soup lunch will be provided. In the afternoon, the programme “Discovering the River Landscape Upstream” will feature. This involves a short hike combined with interactive activities which highlight the importance of the Sûre and its floodplains. Participants will then return to Martelange.

The hike is described as moderately difficult, unsuitable for prams and requires participants to wear boots.

Participation in the hike is free but registration is mandatory.
