Frankfurt-Hahn GmbH (FFHG), the operator of the airport at Frankfurt-Hahn, has sold a 125,000 m2 housing block located between the airport and the National Police School, to the ADC.

Last year this site and building were announced as being put up for sale. In response to this announcement, the offer of the ADC had prevailed. The Board of FFHG had recently put it to shareholders as the SYT had also expressed an interest in the property. However, last week, following doubts which arose about the willingness of SYT, the Supervisory Board took a unanimous decision last Thursday with the approval of the shareholders.

"We are very pleased that we could now shortly conclude the project successfully", said Markus Bunk, CEO of Frankfurt-Hahn. The Airport will benefit not only form a revenue of €1.25 million, but also from new economic impulses through the building projects of the ADC.

It has also transpired that the ADC has also acquired from LBB neighbouring properties worth €2.5 million. The company's plans include creating through extensive renovations and partial demolition, an attractive housing and commercial space. In addition, it has plans to modernise a part of the building so that they can be used by the neighbouring Rheinland-Pfalz Police University.
