Luxembourg-based non-profit the Centre contre la radicalisation (Centre Against Radicalisation) has announced that on Wednesday 9 December 2026 it will host its annual Dialog Dag (Dialogue Day) at CELO in Hesperange.
The non-profit initiative dedicated to preventing violent radicalisation, supporting affected individuals and families, and facilitating deradicalisation, will host this year’s event under the theme “The Changing Landscape of Radicalisation: Youth, Emerging Dynamics and Their Implications for Prevention and Practice”, which will explore current changes in the landscape of radicalisation, with a particular focus on nihilistic violence, emerging and digital phenomena, and the fact that these dynamics are increasingly affecting younger audiences.
The organisers say the event will offer both an overview of these developments and an opportunity to reflect on their practical implications for prevention and support. In particular, it will seek to identify ways to navigate these new realities, address complex situations that do not always fit neatly into established categories, and strengthen interinstitutional and multidisciplinary cooperation.
The programme will bring together several national and international experts from research, frontline practice and public institutions.
Programme Highlights
⁃ International keynote speeches on nihilistic violence and contemporary developments in extremism.
⁃ Discussions among professionals about complex situations encountered in the field.
⁃ An intersectoral dialogue focusing on coordination between services, institutional responsibilities and continuity of support.
The event will take place in French, German and Luxembourgish (with simultaneous interpretation into English).
