Details:

The Light Leaks photography festival is returning to Rotondes in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie from Thursday 9 to Sunday 12 May 2024.

Light Leaks is a festival that celebrates everyday life and urban testimonies through the eyes of photographers- storytelling in street photography, photojournalism and documentary photography.

This eighth edition's international guest speakers are Bieke Depoorter, Michael Ackerman and Nikita Teryoshin.

Beyond the conferences, attendees can immerse themselves in the world of street photography with an indoor exhibit featuring local talent, an international street photography collective, members of the Luxembourg Streetphoto Collective and photography students from local secondary schools. Among the students, a young talent award will be granted to the most outstanding work.

An outdoor exhibit featuring the internationally recognised series "Nothing personal" by Nikita Teryoshin will be displayed in the courtyard of Rotondes.

Addressing the educational angle, the festival is offering a variety of workshops from a beginner street photo workshop to analogue photography to the legal aspects of street photography. The renowned Michael Ackerman will give a master class as well.

The festival is also a place for exchange. Visitors will find a gear and print market on-site and a local book store will present its finest selections of photography books. Everyone can participate in the Light Leaks bazaar and sell prints and zines.

The open wall contest gives everyone an opportunity to showcase their work and win a prize.
