On Thursday 12 March 2026, Luxembourg's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Xavier Bettel, attended the MIPIM real estate trade fair in Cannes, France.
Considered one of the leading international events for real estate professionals, MIPIM welcomes more than 20,000 participants and 2,300 exhibitors, representing over 90 countries. The 2026 edition is running from Monday 9 to Friday 13 March.
The Grand Duchy is participating for the nineteenth time with a national pavilion, coordinated by the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce. Fourteen Luxembourg exhibitors are present at the pavilion, while thirteen Luxembourg companies are also participating in the trade fair with their own stands.
During his visit, Minister Bettel toured the stands of Luxembourg companies and discussed global economic issues and their implications, particularly for the real estate sector, with their representatives.
In a speech delivered at a reception held at the Luxembourg pavilion, Minister Bettel addressed the opportunities and challenges facing the Luxembourg economy. He emphasised the need for a collaborative approach based on partnership, enabling the country to maintain a dynamic economy, according to Luxembourg's Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Defence, Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade.
