Luxembourg’s Ministry of Culture has launched a call for applications for a creative studio located in the outbuildings (annexes) of the Château de Bourglinster (Bourglinster Castle).
As part of its mission to support artistic creation and the professionalisation of artists, the ministry is launching a call for applications for the rental of an artist's studio, located in the annexes of Bourglinster Castle. Available from mid-April 2026 for a period of three years, the creative studios at a monthly rent of €3/m² aim to offer affordable workspaces with a surface area of 20 m² within a historic setting.
The rental of artist studios is aimed at individuals of legal age residing in the Grand Duchy and working in the creative industries (all artistic disciplines combined). Applications must be submitted by Sunday 15 March 2026.
The ministry added that the annexes of Bourglinster Castle have a multipurpose room of almost 100 m2, called "Open Space", which can be made available free of charge to artists residing in Luxembourg wishing to work on a specific artistic project for a defined period.
This is not the first time the ministry has issued such a call. Since their inauguration in 2013, the spaces in the annexes of Bourglinster Castle have been managed by the Ministry of Culture, which designed it as a hub for artistic creation and dissemination, encouraging exchanges and collaborations between artists in over 860 m² of creative space within the annexes.
From January 2024 for a three-year period, it was rented out to sculpturist Emmanouil Manaraksi, installation artist Marko Krsnik, multidisciplinary artist Ina Isabelle Schiltz, plastic artist Raymonde Philipps and sculptures and installation artist Hisae Ikenaga.
