The City of Luxembourg (VdL) has reported that on Wednesday 3 June 2026, the College of the Mayor and Aldermen inaugurated the 100% Human exhibition at the Bierger-Center on Place Guillaume II.

The VdL said the photographic exhibition, created by the association Sourrire in collaboration with photographer Carmen Palermo, highlights the faces of women and men supported by the association, looking towards a future filled with hope. It remarked: “Through a series of black-and-white portraits, the exhibition celebrates the richness and beauty of humanity beyond appearances, while promoting fundamental values such as tolerance, respect and humanity. 100% Human is therefore fully in keeping with an inclusive and civic-minded approach, closely aligned with the City of Luxembourg’s commitment to intercultural living together.”

The association Sourrire works to welcome and support vulnerable people – refugees, people experiencing hardship or those in vulnerable situations – with the aim of promoting their social and professional integration. It provides social and psychological support, as well as a range of activities in a caring, inclusive and non-discriminatory environment, in order to strengthen the autonomy, self-esteem and social connections of its beneficiaries.

The exhibition can be viewed until September 2026 on the fence surrounding the playground at Place de Strasbourg in Luxembourg-Fare, as well as at the Bierger-Center in Luxembourg-Ville.
