Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Internal Security stated on Tuesday that in order to ensure public safety through adequate Grand Ducal Police resources, the decision has been taken to recruit 106 police volunteers in 2015.
This replaces the original plan of 80. Subject to the success of their tactical and basic training at the Police Academy, the 106 volunteers will then be hired as police inspectors.
The decision was taken by the Government Cabinet on 18 September 2015, and will form part of a plan to recruit a total of 346 new officers until 2018.
