
Luxembourg’s first B&B HOTEL opened its doors on 1 September 2025 in a newly completed building in the Cloche d’Or district of Luxembourg city.
On Thursday 16 October, its official inauguration was held, in the company of Valerio Duchini, CEO B&B HOTELS Western Europe, and Céline Vercollier, Group CEO of B&B Hotels, as well as representatives from Nextensa, Promobe and Grossfeld which were all involved in the project.
The three-star hotel has 150 guest rooms over seven floors, as well as a reception hall, bar/lounge area, breakfast room, meeting room and a large private terrace.
Chronicle.lu got the opportunity to talk with Luca Pierucci, the B&B hotel director, who explained that he became involved in the project at the end of 2024, leading up to the September opening. Discussions included how to position the hotel and its business model, with him operating the hotel on behalf of B&B; the same model is deployed in some B&B hotels in France and Belgium. He confirmed that he has twelve staff currently, for reception duties and breakfasts (salty and sweet, hot and cold buffet options), with housekeeping outsourced. He said that the first month went “quite well” compared to initial expectations, with over 70% occupancy at present. He also mentioned aims to introduce new technological solutions, both for staff and for guests. He also mentioned a small meeting room and a bar, as well as a charging stations for evehicles. He also explained that the group name, B&B, originally stood for “Bonjour & Bienvenue”.
Céline Vercollier, Group CEO of B&B Hotels, l led the speeches and talked in French, stating that this is the group’s first hotel in Luxembourg, a quality offer located in a cosmopolitan centre. It is one of 900 hotels of the group located throughout Europe, Brazil and the US.
Flavio Becca, representing the project promoters Promobe, stated that he was delighted to welcome the 100+ guests to the opening of the hotel which was originally conceived fifteen years ago, and which has now opening in the multifunctional district of the Cloche d’Or. He mentioned the tram which now links the airport and the Cloche d’Or, as well as cycle paths.
The formal part of the event then over, a live music set was performed on stage in the breakfast room, with a drinks reception with finger food.
