On Thursday 19 March 2026, the secure MyGuichet.lu platform introduced a new feature to centralise municipal invoices, aimed to simplify administrative procedures for citizens.
The initiative was announced by Luxembourg’s Ministry of Digitalisation, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Intercommunal IT Management Union (SIGI), the City of Luxembourg (VdL) and the Union of Luxembourg Cities and Municipalities (Syvicol).
Since 9 February 2026, users can access all their municipal invoices from the past five years in one secure and centralised portal. The platform allows users to activate the service via http://guichet.lu/factures-communales and to consult invoices without navigating between multiple invoices.
Developed jointly by SIGI, the VdL and the State Information Technology Centre (CTIE), this development responds to a simple and concrete need: to provide a clear and centralised overview of municipal invoices, including in cases of moving or having relations with multiple municipalities. Stéphanie Obertin, Luxembourg’s Minister of Digitalisation, explained: “MyGuichet.lu is an exchange platform between administrations and citizens managed by the CTIE, which now also allows users to receive municipal invoices via eDelivery.”
Philippe Meyers, President of SIGI, added: “It is a great success for all partners to be able to offer a uniform service to all citizens across all municipalities in the country, within the same platform as state procedures. This demonstrates both the technical capacity and the political will to collaborate in favour of administrative simplification for the benefit of citizens. Figures from our 99 member municipalities clearly show citizens’ interest in simple, accessible and secure solutions and encourage us to continue in this direction. The adoption rate continues to grow, with currently 8,908 citizens subscribed to the service.”
According to the authorities, this development is aimed at all residents, as well as non-resident clients who have an administrative relationship with at least one Luxembourg municipality.
It concerns all municipal administrations, confirming the partners’ intention to offer a coherent and consistent digital service nationwide. Patrick Goldschmidt, alderman of the VdL, explained: “With the implementation of this new feature via MyGuichet.lu, the City of Luxembourg strengthens its Smart City approach by offering simpler and more accessible services for all. This new feature complements the services already available on e-services.vdl.lu and reflects our ongoing commitment to digitalisation for the benefit of citizens.”
Serge Hoffmann, Vice-President of Syvicol, added: “On behalf of Syvicol, I would like to congratulate all stakeholders for bringing this project to life, which will enable all 100 municipalities to send invoices to citizens more easily. This step is important for continuing digitalisation and administrative simplification, as invoice generation will now be easier and significantly less time-consuming.”
Authorities stated that further developments will enhance the MyGuichet.lu offering in the coming months.
Léon Gloden, Luxembourg’s Minister of Home Affairs, concluded: “2026 is the year of municipalities. Recently, we launched the future COSMOS platform – municipalities, unions, ministries, social offices – which aims to strengthen and simplify exchanges between the State and municipalities. With the centralised consultation of municipal invoices on MyGuichet.lu, another important step towards administrative simplification for users has been achieved.”
