Luxembourg’s Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Viticulture has announced the 35th National Crémant Congress of France and Luxembourg, taking place from Thursday 16 to Saturday 18 April 2026.

The event aims to bring together all crémant-producing regions, including eight French regions – Alsace, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Die, Jura, Limoux, Loire and Savoy – as well as the Luxembourg Moselle, the only non-French region invited to take part.

According to the ministry, Luxembourg is hosting the congress for the fourth time, following previous editions in 1997, 2005 and 2013. It explained that the congress takes place annually on a rotating basis across the different crémant regions and promotes exchanges between producers, while supporting the reputation of crémants.

The programme also includes the National Crémant Competition, where experts taste more than 450 crémants from France and Luxembourg in a blind tasting. Taking place on Friday 17 April in Mondorf, organisers are set to announce the gold, silver and bronze medal winners later that evening.

This edition also marks the 35th anniversary of Crémant de Luxembourg, which entered the market in November 1991 and has since gained strong international recognition.
