On Wednesday 21 January 2026, the Fondation Henri-Maria Teresa, formerly known as the Fondation du Grand-Duc Henri et de la Grande-Duchesse Maria Teresa, announced recent developments in its activities.
The foundation has relocated its offices to a new address in Findel, marking a new stage in its development.
The foundation and its Board of Directors also announced the appointment of Françoise Binsfeld as Director, tasked with accompanying and strengthening the foundation's mission. Françoise brings over 20 years of experience in international development and humanitarian aid and, until recently, served as Executive Director of Aide à l'Enfance de l'Inde et du Népal (AEIN) in Luxembourg.
Under the Presidency of Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, the Fondation Henri-Maria Teresa will continue its social actions, focused on three pillars:
- specific projects in Luxembourg, notably scholarships for single mothers in precarious situations;
- assistance for children and adults with learning difficulties (dyslexia, dyspraxia, hyperactivity, etc.), a pillar actively supported by Prince Louis;
- international humanitarian emergency aid, with the foundation saying it will "stand more than ever" by the side of the world's most destitute women.
These changes follow the accession to the throne of Grand Duke Guillaume, whose new foundation, the Fondation Grand-Duc Guillaume et Grande-Duchesse Stéphanie, created in September 2025, has taken over the social emergency aid component - a mission previously managed for over 40 years by the former Fondation Grand-Duc Henri et Grande-Duchesse Maria Teresa.
