The Luxembourg Round Table under the patronage of the City of Luxembourg (VdL) has announced the 25th edition of the Duck Race, which will take place on Saturday 18 April 2026 at the Abbaye de Neumünster (neimënster) in Luxembourg-Grund.
The race will start at the Pont du Grund on Rue Munster, with the finish line a few hundred metres downstream, at the footbridge crossing the river at the western end of the Rives de Clausen.
The event, with the entertainment programme for children and adults, and catering will open at 12:00 and is expected to finish at around 18:00; the Duck Race itself is set for a 15:00 start.
Taking place under the slogan “Green event”, including an “AntiGaspi” label, the event will offer activities on the forecourt of neimënster will feature activities for children, a DJ, food stalls offering grilled dishes, fries, vegetarian options and desserts, as well as beverage stands.
Profits from the day will be donated to charitable organisations, which will also be present on site to provide information about their work supporting children in need.
Anyone wishing to support an altruistic project and participate in this charitable lottery can sponsor one or more ducks, available for pre-sale at the price of €5 on https://duckrace.lu/ or the same day on the Duck Race website. All ducks have a number that corresponds to a lottery ticket number. The “patrons” of the ducks that cross the finish line first will receive prizes offered by sponsors, including a Volkswagen T-Roc, alongside e-bikes and vouchers offered by sponsors.
