La Belle Etoile announced on Friday that nearly 600 pairs of shoes have been collected in aid of migrants and refugees in Luxembourg.
The initiative was held on 8 and 9 April 2016 by the supermarket and the Fédération luxembourgeoise de Marche Populaire and asked the public to donate walking and sports shoes in good condition to benefit migrants and refugees hosted by the Luxembourg Red Cross.
The campaign yielded nearly 600 pairs of shoes, each individual donor of which received a 10€ voucher for Freelander's Outdoor & Adventure in return.
La Belle Étoile and the Luxembourg Red Cross thanked all the donors for their kind generosity.
