The Luxembourg-based Indian community association Moien Bharat has announced that Deepotsav 2026, its annual Diwali celebration, is set to take place on Saturday 14 November 2026 at the Centre Culturel Prince Henri in Walferdange.
The event, entitled "A Grand Celebration of Diwali & Indian Culture", will bring together members of Luxembourg's Indian community and the wider public for an evening of traditional celebrations, cultural performances, music and food.
According to the organisers, the programme will feature Aarti, a traditional Hindu prayer ceremony involving light, alongside cultural performances, live DJ sets and Indian food stalls.
Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is one of India's major festivals and symbolises the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil.
Founded in 2024, Moien Bharat is a Luxembourg-based association promoting North Indian culture and traditions through community events and celebrations. It previously organised Deepotsav 2025 at Hall Victor Hugo in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg, attracting approximately 800 attendees.
Further details about the programme are expected to be announced later on.
