The American Chamber of Commerce in Luxembourg (AMCHAM) has announced an upcoming ABAL lunch, organised in partnership with Marsh, on the topic “Navigating Risks in the Digital Age”, to be held on Monday 2 June 2025 at Confiserie Namur in Luxembourg-Hamm.
According to AMCHAM, digital assets such as cryptocurrencies and tokens are “reshaping the way we think about investment and risk management” in today’s rapidly evolving financial landscape. The organisation emphasised that it is “imperative to understand the unique challenges and opportunities” these assets present, particularly within the context of private capital markets.
AMCHAM announced that the speaker for the event will be Fabrice Godefroid, a financial professional with over 27 years of experience across areas including wealth management, investment funds, custody, fund administration, UCITS management, AIFM, business development, relationship management and asset management.
The presentation will address the risks and insurance considerations associated with digital assets, focusing on cryptocurrencies and tokens used in private capital markets. While such assets offer potential benefits, including liquidity and broader access to investment opportunities, they also present challenges related to volatility, regulatory uncertainty and evolving risk profiles.
The discussion will highlight the need for tailored risk coverage strategies adapted to the specific characteristics of digital assets, with an emphasis on navigating their complexity in the context of private capital markets.
Ticket prices for the event are set at €50 for AMCHAM members and €55 for non-members.
