On the evening of Thursday 9 July 2026, the College of Mayor and Aldermen and the Cultural Commission of the City of Diekirch, along with the Friends of Old Diekirch, hosted the vernissage of the Summer Collective Exhibition of La Palette Diekirch at the Maison de la Culture in Diekirch.

The opening of the exhibition welcomed over 100 visitors to the Maison de la Culture to view a wide variety of artworks from artists Natascha Spies, Marguerite Zeien-Schmit, Bernard Huberty, Paul Simon, Romain Schwind, Arlette Gleis-Bingen, Nicole Hansen, Monique Braun, Saglini, Andrée Schwabe-Rochu, Pauline Burg, Anita Faber, Pol Brachtenbach, Paul Rodenbourg, Philippe Treinen, Monique Link, Claudine Maillet, Raynald Nord, Carmen Rospek, Fabienne Penny-Konen, Titania Helbach, Claudine Rosch, Carole Gielen, Raymond Bausch, Martine Marcelet, José Luis Palomino, Agathe Nesen-Peters, Georgette Heintz, Olgas Dirckes-Kunsch-Schilling and Astrid Breuer-Lamborelle.

The 114 artworks on display feature mediums such as acrylics and oils, ceramics, wood sculpture and print, depicting a wide range of subjects including wildlife, landscape, portraiture, abstract design, pop art and still life.

The pieces are tastefully displayed across the two floors of the Maison de la Culture, with works from each artist spread out across the venue instead of placed in isolation. This lends an additional dynamic to the exhibition, allowing visitors the opportunity to appreciate the variety of pieces in a non-linear fashion.

During the opening evening, attendees were treated to a variety of food and refreshments supplied by the hosts, with the venue’s external courtyard put to good use in the hot weather.

Speaking to Chronicle.lu after the event, artist Paul Rodenbourg said: "The vernissage was wonderfully vibrant, with a warm atmosphere and an impressive turnout. It is always inspiring to see so many people engaging with contemporary art and supporting local artists. The collective energy in the room made this edition of La Palette particularly memorable."

The exhibition is open until Sunday 26 July 2026 from 10:00 to 18:00 (except on Mondays).

Admission is free.
