On Friday 10 July 2026, the Luxembourg Tennis Federation (FLT) announced the appointment of Gilles Muller as its new National Technical Director (Directeur Technique National - DTN) during a press conference held at Coque in Luxembourg-Kirchberg.
According to the FLT, former ATP world No. 21 Gilles Muller will take up the role on 1 August 2026. He will be responsible in particular for the U16 and U18 programmes, as well as Luxembourg's senior and youth national teams, working alongside current Sporting Director Anne-Laure Heitz, who has been part of the federation's national technical team for the past 17 years. Anne-Laure Heitz will focus primarily on talent identification for the U10 age group and on the development of U12 and U14 players.
The FLT also announced that Julien Ducasse has joined the federation as Administrative Director. Together, Gilles Muller, Anne-Laure Heitz and Julien Ducasse will work under the supervision of Director General Lionel Ollinger.
According to the federation, Gilles Muller will retain his role as Luxembourg Davis Cup captain, with his responsibilities extended to overseeing all Luxembourg youth national teams. He will also supervise the Billie Jean King Cup team in close cooperation with captain Claudine Schaul.
The federation added that the Davis Cup coaching staff has also been strengthened with the appointment of Mike Scheidweiler, a former doubles world No. 272 and winner of eleven ITF titles, who will oversee specialised doubles training, Gilles Kremer as assistant captain and Frank Eicher as physical trainer.
