On Saturday 18 July 2026, the annual Blues’n’Jazz Rallye, a highlight of Luxembourg City's summer events calendar, will once again take over the districts of Pfaffenthal, Clausen and Grund, offering visitors an evening of music filled with discovery and emotion.

From 18:00 on Saturday the Blues’n’Jazz Rallye will bring together numerous renowned musicians for concerts held in cafés, pubs and clubs, as well as in public spaces on stages nestled beneath the remains of the city's fortifications and historic quarters, which are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This unique setting and production make it an event unlike any other in Europe, promising thousands of visitors an immersive and unforgettable musical experience every year. Visitors can look forward to a festive atmosphere as jazz and blues echo through the capital's historic streets.

Participating cafés and bistros

In addition to the six main venues, seven venues located along the route connecting the different stages will also host jazz and blues performances:

• Café des Artistes (Grund)

• Scott's Pub (Grund)

• Oscar's (Grund)

• Liquid Bar (Grund)

• La Grocerie (Grund)

• Big Beer Company (Clausen)

• Hondshaus (Clausen)

Food stalls will be available throughout the festival sites and along the route. Various cafés and restaurants will also provide outdoor catering in front of their premises.

Travel information and transport arrangements

During the event the City of Luxembourg (VdL) encourages visitors to use the special Route 50 – Blues’n’Jazz Rallye shuttle service, which will operate every seven to ten minutes from 17:30 until 03:30 between Glacis car park (Theater Quai 1 stop), Pfaffenthal, Clausen, the city centre and back to Glacis.

In addition, routes 9, 14, 15 and CN1 will operate as normal in both directions between the city centre (Badanstalt Quai 1 stop) and Clausen (Clausener Bréck stop). Visitors can also make use of Luxembourg's public transport network and regional Nightbus services.

Lifts and Funicular

Festival sites will be accessible via the Pfaffenthal–Upper City lift, the Grund lift (both operating until 04:00), as well as the funicular.

Parking

The VdL reminds visitors of the following parking arrangements:

• Schuman car park is free on Saturdays and Sundays.

• Access to and exit from Brasserie car park (Rives de Clausen) will be closed from 17:00 on 18 July until 03:00 on 19 July 2026.

• Glacis car park is free on Saturdays unless otherwise indicated on site.

Road Closures

For road traffic, the following restrictions will apply:

• The districts of Grund, Clausen and Pfaffenthal will be closed to traffic from 17:00 on Saturday 18 July until 03:00 on Sunday 19 July 2026.

• Temporary parking restrictions will also be introduced throughout these districts.

Bus Service Changes

The VdL Bus Service has announced the following temporary route changes will be in effect during the event:

Route 14

Towards Cents, buses will be diverted from Clausen via Neudorf before continuing to Cents, Waassertuerm and then following the normal route to the temporary terminus at Fort Dumoulin Quai 3.

On the return journey, buses will depart from Fort Dumoulin Quai 3 and follow the normal route to Cents before travelling via Neudorf back to Clausen and continuing towards the city centre.

The following stops will not be served:

• Fort Dumoulin Quai 2

• Kéibierg-INS Quai 2

• Rumm Quai 2

• Tour Jacob Quai 2

Clausener Bréck Quai 4 will be replaced by Quai 2.

Passengers travelling towards the city centre from Cents should use the stops opposite their usual boarding points (Quai 1 instead of Quai 2).

Route 15

Route 15 will be diverted between Cents, Fort Dumoulin and Clausener Bréck in both directions via Cents and Neudorf, without intermediate stops.

The following stops will not be served:

• Kéibierg-INS

• Dinselpuert

• Rumm

• Tour Jacob

Temporary stops will operate at:

• Clausener Bréck Quai 1

• Malakoff Quai 1

• Malakoff Quai 2

• Clausener Bréck Quai 2

Route 23

Route 23 will operate between the railway station district and Clausen in both directions via Montée de Clausen.

The following stops will not be served:

• Stadgronn Bréck

• Rumm

• Tour Jacob

Route CN1

Towards Cents, Route CN1 will be extended from Cents, Waassertuerm to Fort Dumoulin Quai 3, serving the following additional stops:

• Camille Polfer Quai 2

• Carmel Quai 2

• Trèves Quai 2

• Robert Bruch Quai 2

• Cents, Kierch Quai 2

• Tawioun Quai 2

On the return journey towards P+R Bouillon, buses will travel via Cents and Neudorf to Clausen before resuming the normal route through the city centre and Glacis.

The following stops will not be served:

• Fort Dumoulin Quai 2

• Kéibierg-INS Quai 2

• Melusina

• Tour Jacob Quai 2

Clausener Bréck Quai 4 will be replaced by Quai 2.
