Mirabelle Fest 2026;

On Sunday 30 August 2026, the Frënn vum Kielener Brennereimusée Asbl held the fourth edition of the Mirabelle Fest at the Brennereimusée (Distillery Museum) in Kehlen, drawing dozens of visitors throughout the day.
The festival featured a range of mirabelle plum specialities, grilled food and drinks, as well as live musical entertainment, face painting and activities for children. Dozens of visitors attended the event despite partly cloudy weather, while organisers prepared around 120 portions of the traditional Mëttegiesse lunch.
Speaking to Chronicle.lu, Jacques Zeyen, President of Frënn vum Kielener Brennereimusée Asbl, said: “It's the fourth edition of the Mirabelle Fest. We have the whole pig on the grill. And I think, if the weather seems to be good, we will have plenty of people today.”
Throughout the day, visitors filled the tables around the museum grounds, while volunteers carved spit-roasted pork and served grilled food. Live music accompanied the event, with children taking part in face painting, an inflatable play area and a mirabelle-themed game.
Jacques Zeyen added that the organisers had processed around 700 kilogrammes of mirabelles in the previous one to two weeks, using them to prepare jam and tarts, while fresh mirabelles were also available for visitors.
He also highlighted the distillery products available at the festival: “Certainly, because we are the friends of the distillery museum, we have Mirabelle liqueur, we have gin with Mirabelle flavour and all the other specialities from the distillery.”
