On Thursday 22 October 2026, leading American defence companies met with representatives of Luxembourg's defence industry at the second Transatlantic Defense Industry Access Forum (TDIAF), organised by the US Embassy in Luxembourg in partnership with LuxDefence.

According to the US Embassy, the forum aimed to identify new opportunities for cooperation and strengthen transatlantic defence ties. Senior representatives from leading US defence companies Raytheon, an RTX business, Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman explored potential partnerships with their Luxembourg counterparts.

US Ambassador to Luxembourg Stacey Feinberg stated: "Investing in defense is more important than ever and commitments alone are not enough. We must turn commitments into the capabilities our Alliance needs. American defence companies bring advanced technology, proven expertise, and decades of experience supporting our NATO Allies."

She added: "This forum is an opportunity to explore what we can achieve together by connecting American industry with Luxembourg's defence priorities. The more closely our defence industries work together, the better prepared our entire Alliance will be for the challenges ahead."

The event builds on the inaugural TDIAF, held in June 2026, which brought 50 US defence and space companies to Luxembourg to meet with representatives of the local defence and space sectors. This second edition focused on concrete opportunities for real cooperation, with approximately twenty Luxembourg defence companies participating in the event.
