The Luxembourg Football Federation (FLF) has announced the national team squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League play-off matches against Malta, with a place in League C at stake.
Luxembourg finished fourth in Group C3 in the previous Nations League campaign, while Malta placed second in Group D2, setting up this play-off tie to determine which team will compete in League C.
Luxembourg will face Malta on Thursday 26 March at 18:00 in Ta’Qali (National Stadium), before hosting the return match on Tuesday 31 March at 18:00 at the Stade de Luxembourg.
Head coach Jeff Strasser has called up 23 players. The squad includes goalkeepers Lucas Fox (1. FC Bocholt, Germany), Anthony Moris (Al-Khaleej, Saudi Arabia) and Tiago Pereira (Borussia Mönchengladbach, Germany).
In defence, the selected players are Florian Bohnert (SC Bastia, France), Dirk Carlson (SKN St. Pölten, Austria), Eldin Dzogovic (1. FC Magdeburg, Germany), Laurent Jans (SK Beveren, Belgium), Seid Korac (Venezia, Italy), Enes Mahmutovic (NAC Breda, Netherlands), Mica Pinto (FC Dordrecht, Netherlands) and Eric Veiga (Flamurtari FC, Albania).
Midfield options include Leandro Barreiro (SL Benfica, Portugal), Tomás Cruz (SL Benfica, Portugal), Enzo De Pina Duarte (Borussia Dortmund, Germany), Christopher Martins (Spartak Moscow, Russia), Mathias Olesen (Grazer AK, Austria) and Sébastien Thill (Stal Rzeszow, Poland).
In attack, Strasser has selected Yvandro Borges Sanches (Heracles Almelo, Netherlands), Aiman Dardari (SpVgg Greuther Fürth, Germany), Fabio Domingos (Paris Saint-Germain, France), Edvin Muratovic (FK Panevezys, Lithuania), Danel Sinani (FC St. Pauli, Germany), Vincent Thill (SV Waldhof Mannheim, Germany) and Jayson Videira (1. FSV Mainz 05, Germany).
Tickets for the return leg, which have been on sale since Monday 16 March 2026, are nearly sold out, with close to 8,000 already purchased. The Luxembourg Football Federation (FLF) noted strong demand for the match at the Stade de Luxembourg and confirmed that only Category 1 tickets remain available via its official online ticketing platform. Ticket prices are set at €50 for Category 1, with a 50% discount available for children under fourteen.
