On Tuesday 1 September 2026, the Luxembourg Football Federation (FLF) announced two new kits that will be worn by all Luxembourg national teams over the next two seasons.

According to the federation, the two kits were developed as part of its new partnership with JAKO and feature elements linked to Luxembourg’s national identity. The red lion, a national symbol, plays a central role in both designs and is interpreted in two different ways, combining what the FLF described as “tradition, character and modernity”.

The new home shirt retains the red colour traditionally associated with Luxembourg’s national teams, with the red lion forming the central element of its visual identity. The design also features claw marks running across the shirt, which, according to the FLF, represent the determination and ambition with which the national teams represent Luxembourg internationally.

The federation said the claw marks also convey the message of “leaving a mark on the pitch”, with each match and action representing an opportunity to contribute to the history of Luxembourg football. According to the FLF, the lion and claw elements symbolise the teams’ intention to “move forward, assert themselves and represent Luxembourg with pride”.

The second kit introduces a lighter shade of blue than the dark blue tones used in recent years, bringing it closer to the light blue of the Luxembourg flag. Abstract elements inspired by the red lion appear across the fabric, with the national symbol broken down into different shapes and reinterpreted as part of the overall pattern.

According to the FLF, the pattern is intended to reflect Luxembourg’s “diversity and individuality”, while illustrating how different elements can come together to form a coherent whole. The shirt also features a retro-inspired collar.

The two kits are among the first visible elements of the new partnership between the FLF and JAKO and will be worn by Luxembourg’s national teams over the next two seasons. The new shirts are now available for pre-order.
