On Tuesday 29 July 2025, NTT DATA Luxembourg announced it had secured a partnership with France’s Mistral AI, which will see both companies work together to build a European-made artificial intelligence (AI) ecosystem for enterprises across Europe and Asia-Pacific.

In its press release, NTT DATA Luxembourg said the companies will combine NTT DATA’s comprehensive GenAI and IT services portfolio, global delivery capabilities, industry expertise and trusted client relationships with Mistral AI’s solutions and advanced generative AI models.

According to the IT services and consultancy firm, the initial areas of focus include “sustainable and secure AI co-development”“AI-driven innovation for IT infrastructure and customer experience” and market expansion in countries including France, Luxembourg, Spain, Singapore and Australia.

He added: “By joining forces with Mistral AI, we will harness the power of high-performing AI models combined with NTT DATA’s comprehensive AI capabilities. In doing so, we can assure secure, scalable and sustainable deployments for enterprises across the globe.”

According to the press release, NTT DATA Luxembourg and Mistral AI will co-develop a sovereign platform in Luxembourg for clients in the regulated financial services and insurance industries.

NTT DATA Luxembourg said that the partnership will “prioritise open and sovereign architectures, model interpretability and ethical deployment practices aligned with emerging global AI standards, underscoring NTT DATA’s ambition to scale AI across its own operations and client base, while proactively establishing internal benchmarks for ethical and secure deployment in the absence of unified global regulation.”
