On Thursday 11 June 2026, the second edition of the Luxembourg AI Excellence Awards ceremony took place as part of the Nexus Luxembourg Platform 2026 conference, attended by Luxembourg's Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister for Media and Connectivity, Elisabeth Margue.

The event brought together representatives from the business, institutional and innovation sectors, as well as jury members and participants in the 2026 competition.

Launched in 2025 by FEDIL, in partnership with Luxinnovation and with the support of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, the Luxembourg AI Excellence Awards aim to promote and showcase excellence in artificial intelligence (AI) in Luxembourg. According to the organisers, the awards recognise innovative projects, technological advances and AI applications generating a measurable impact on the economy, society or the environment.

For this second edition, 47 applications were submitted by companies and organisations active across a wide range of sectors. Following an evaluation process, the winning projects were selected by a jury composed of experts from the public and private sectors. Projects were assessed on criteria including innovation, the effective use of AI technologies, maturity and potential impact.

Sophie Klecker, Jury Chair and Project Leader – AI & Innovation at Luxembourg's Ministry of the Economy, highlighted the quality and diversity of this year's submissions: “The proposals submitted this year stand out for their impressive diversity in terms of technologies and use cases, reflecting the ecosystem’s growing maturity. They reflect an increase in AI adoption across various sectors, with projects based on concrete applications and grounded in operational realities.”
