On Tuesday 22 April 2026, Luxembourg’s HORESCA Federation announced the launch of the second edition of the “Dreamjobs” campaign and the third edition of “Dreamjobs Ambassadors”.

The Luxembourg Federation of Hoteliers, Restaurateurs and Café Owners (HORESCA) said it is seizing this “exceptional opportunity” to further strengthen the promotion of training and careers in the HORECA sector through the second edition of the “Dreamjobs” campaign as well as the “Dreamjobs Ambassadors” programme.

With the support of Luxembourg’s Ministry of the Economy and the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, these two initiatives are led by HORESCA. They aim to raise young people’s awareness of the diversity, creativity and career development opportunities offered by the HORECA sector, while sustainably strengthening the attractiveness of training pathways.

HORESCA noted that 2026 marks a special milestone for the sector in Luxembourg. With the international trade fair Expogast and the RAK Porcelain Culinary World Cup, Luxembourg once again finds itself, as it does every four years, at the heart of the international gastronomy scene and the world of hospitality and will take advantage of the international stage of Expogast 2026 to generate targeted interest among young people in the dynamic professions of the Grand Duchy’s hospitality sector.

Luxembourg’s Federation of Hoteliers, Restaurateurs and Café Owners emphasised that its sector is among the most dynamic and diverse fields in Luxembourg but highlighted that it is also facing the challenge of ensuring a qualified future workforce. It noted that this is where the campaigns come in: they increase the visibility of the sector, break down preconceptions and present concrete career pathways – from training through to international opportunities.

“Our sector offers far more than traditional professions: it embodies passion, creativity and real development opportunities. With ‘Dreamjobs’, we want to show young people just how varied and promising a career in the HORECA sector can be,” explained Alain Rix, President of HORESCA.

The “Dreamjobs Ambassadors” initiative, which highlights committed professionals in Luxembourg as authentic ambassadors of the HORECA world, will see candidates from across the sector selected to share their passion and communicate their experiences in an authentic way.

The featured categories are waiter/bartender, chef, barista and concierge – professions that exemplify the diversity and dynamism of the sector. After a phase of applications and pre-selection, candidates will be presented to the public. A professional jury, together with the public, will select the winners – with public voting taking place for the first time in 2026.

The initiative runs throughout the year in four coordinated stages:
• Awareness: authentic insights into the HORECA world and promotion of training in Luxembourg
• Call & engagement: mobilisation and selection of future ambassadors from the sector
• Selection & voting: presentation of candidates and selection by jury and public
• Final phase & awards ceremony: recognition of the “Dreamjobs Ambassadors” at Expogast 2026 and the RAK Porcelain Culinary World Cup, which will take place from 21 to 25 November 2026 at Luxexpo The Box

The “Dreamjobs” campaign kicked off at the GRIDX Food Festival in Reckange-sur-Mess on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 April. At the interactive joint stand of HORESCA, the Luxembourg School of Hospitality and Tourism (EHTL) and Bouneweger Lycée Luxembourg (BLL), visitors were able to experience the HORECA world first-hand last weekend. Students and teaching staff presented training pathways in Luxembourg and provided information on open days at their schools. Direct exchanges on site revealed strong interest in these professions and highlighted the importance of practical experience.

“It is essential to showcase these professions where encounters take place. Direct contact with young people is the best way to generate enthusiasm for our sector,” emphasised Steve Martellini, Managing Director of HORESCA.
