G-Media Sàrl, the company behind Chronicle.lu, is recruiting an English-speaking Web Journalist.
G-Media Sàrl is an independent Luxembourg-registered company active in Information & Communication, publishing Chronicle.lu, an established English-language online newspaper aimed at keeping Luxembourg's international community up to date with current local, national, regional and international affairs.
The company is currently looking for one profile:
Web Journalist (M/F/X, full-time, CDI)
Role:
• Produce quality written content in English on Luxembourg's political, economic, social and cultural life for Chronicle.lu, as well as publishing international news articles;
• Publish articles based on press releases and also original content based on individual research and interviews, as well as opinion pieces (blog posts);
• Meet deadlines, i.e. publishing the most important news in time for the Chronicle.lu daily enewsletter;
• Process photos and infographics for the Chronicle.lu website;
• Post articles from Chronicle.lu on various social media platforms and engage with audience;
• Attend and report on press conferences and other events, primarily in business and social networking circles.
Required:
• Excellent command of written and spoken English, with an understanding of at least one of the official languages of Luxembourg (Luxembourgish/French/German);
• Previous experience in media, journalism and (web) publishing and/or university-level qualifications, ideally in journalism or communication (alternatively, social sciences, economics, politics or similar);
• Experience with digital and Microsoft Office tools;
• Ability to meet fixed deadlines;
• Knowledge of and/or an interest in current affairs in Luxembourg;
• A team player, with ability to work on own initiative and remotely.
Advantageous:
• Already possess a Luxembourg press card;
• Detailed understanding of the Luxembourg media landscape;
• A good network of contacts in Luxembourg (in business and/or social circles) and on social media;
• Holder of a valid driving licence.
