On Friday 10 February 2023, Luxembourg's Ministry of Labour, Employment and the Social and Solidarity Economy and the Ministry of Social Security confirmed changes to the minimum wage and other social parameters as of 1 February 2023.

Pursuant to Article L 223-1 of the Labour Code, and following the wage indexation of 1 February, the monthly minimum wage rate has been adapted to weighted cost of living index (898.93).

The minimum social wages are now set as follows:

  •  18+ years: €14.14 hourly, €2,447.07 monthly;
  • 17-18 years: €11.32 hourly, €1,957.65 monthly;
  • 15-17 years: €10.61 hourly; €1,835.30 monthly.

The minimum wage for qualified employees is set at €2,936.48 per month from 1 February.

Other social parameters have been adapted following the triggering of the new wage indexation, including family allowances, pensions and health insurance.
