On Saturday 11 July 2026, Luxembourg's National Traffic Police, together with their French and Belgian counterparts, carried out checks on the A6 motorway, focusing on holiday traffic. The operation primarily targeted the general technical condition of vehicles, as well as compliance with load securing and loading requirements.

According to the police, a total of 25 offences were detected during the operation. These included eleven overloaded vehicles, two vehicles with technical defects and five cases involving irregularities relating to registration plates. In addition, one driver was found not to be wearing a seat belt correctly, another was driving without a valid driving licence and, in one case, officers discovered that a trailer being inspected had been reported stolen.
