The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a man was taken into custody following a public disturbance in Howald on the afternoon of Friday 24 July 2026.
According to initial information, officers responded to reports of a heavily intoxicated man behaving disruptively on a bus travelling along Route de Thionville at around 15:00.
The man reportedly reacted aggressively towards the responding officers and was barely able to stand. He was escorted off the bus and taken to hospital due to his condition. Although he was initially calm, he reportedly began behaving disruptively again while at the hospital.
As the man was disturbing public order and had already attracted police attention earlier that day, officers decided to place him in a holding cell until he sobered up.
