On Monday 9 February 2026, Flix, a global travel-tech company, reported that its co-founder and CEO André Schwämmlein, together with Jos Sales and Marc Sales from SLG, had recently met with Lex Delles, Luxembourg’s Minister of the Economy, SMEs, Energy and Tourism, to present ongoing mobility projects.
During the meeting, which took place on Thursday 5 February 2026, SLG and Flix presented their projects to Minister Delles, focusing on the development of Flibco, the European airport transportation platform recently strengthened by Flix’s capital investment.
According to the companies, André Schwämmlein highlighted the strategic importance of Flibco within the Flix ecosystem, particularly as a means of expanding from Luxembourg, thereby complementing the group's historical focus on long-distance transport.
Minister Delles reportedly commended the choice to keep Flibco’s headquarters, management and teams in Luxembourg.
Discussions also addressed the country’s advantages as a European mobility hub and the infrastructure required to support continued growth in the sector.
Flibco and Flix reaffirmed their joint ambition to deliver airport mobility that is accessible, sustainable and digitalised, utilising Flibco's operational expertise alongside Flix's international network. In the context of European development, both companies also pointed to the lack of a major bus station in Luxembourg, identifying it as a key area for improvement to support the future growth of bus transport.
According to the companies, the meeting highlighted the joint commitment of Flibco, Flix and Luxembourg’s authorities to advance a more interconnected, sustainable and accessible mobility framework across Europe.
