On Wednesday 7 January 2026, the City of Luxembourg (Ville de Luxembourg - VdL) announced that lifting works will take place on Rue des Muguets in Luxembourg-Kirchberg, on Saturday 10 January 2026.
According to the VdL, these works will take place between the hours of 07:00 and 18:00, in front of building numbers 131 to 135. As a result, this will involve a complete closure of traffic on Rue des Muguets (the section between Rue du Kiem and Rue des Marguerites) and on Sentier de Bricherhof, between Rue des Muguets and building number 9, Sentier de Bricherhof, for the duration of the work.
In addition, the following changes will apply to public transport:
• Municipal bus line 12 will be diverted via Avenue John F. Kennedy. The stops Bleuets, Pâquerettes, Marguerites, Muguets and Labours (Quay 1) will not be served in either direction. Towards Kirchberg, two temporary stops will be set up on the service lane of Avenue John F. Kennedy: one opposite the Coque and the other opposite Rue Nicolaus Copernicus.
The VdL noted that its traffic service will ensure that appropriate signage is put in place and that the diversion route is clearly marked.
