The City of Luxembourg (Ville de Luxembourg - VdL) has announced that lifting works will take place on Avenue Victor Hugo in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg, from Saturday 10 January 2026 to Sunday 11 January 2026.
According to the VdL, the works will take place in front of 3 Avenue Victor Hugo from 08:00 on Saturday until 18:00 on Sunday. As a result, the road will be closed to all traffic between building number 7 and Rue des Glacis.
In addition, the following changes will apply to public transport:
• towards Fondation Pescatore: Line 2 will be diverted via Avenue Pasteur. The stops Alen Tramsschapp (Quay 2) and Lycée de Garçons (Quay 2) will be suspended and replaced by the stops N.S. Pierret, Alfred de Musset and Allée Scheffer (Quay 1);
• towards Square Edouard André: Lines 2 and CN7 will be diverted via Avenue du Bois and Rue Henri VII. No stops will be suspended.
