The City of Luxembourg (Ville de Luxembourg - VdL) has announced that road works will take place on Rue de la Déportation in Luxembourg-Gasperich, from Friday 16 to Monday 19 January 2026.
According to the VdL, the works will take place Rue de la Déportation, on the section between Route d’Esch and Rue d’Alsace, from 19:00 on Friday until 05:00 on Monday. As a result, the road will be closed to all traffic.
In addition, the following changes will apply to public transport:
⁃ Bus route 18 will be diverted via Rue de Hollerich. The Alsace, Lascombes and Hollerich-Gare stops will be suspended and replaced by the Fonderie Quai 1 and 2, Aciérie Quai 1 and 2 stops, as well as a temporary stop located in front of numbers 178–188 on Route d’Esch, in the direction of Kockelscheuer.
