On Wednesday 28 January 2026, the City of Luxembourg (Ville de Luxembourg - VdL) announced that Rue des Hauts-Fournaux will be closed due to tree removal works which will take place from Saturday 31 January (07.30) until Sunday 1 February (14:00).
According to the VdL, as part of the demolition and reconstruction works on the bridge near the Russian Embassy, the works will be carried out between Rue de la Cimenterie and Rue Chingiz Aitmatov (northern exit) on Rue des Hauts-Fournaux.
In addition, the following changes will apply to public transport:
⁃ bus line 3 will have a temporary terminus at Chingiz Aitmatov, platform 2;
⁃ the stops Henri Dunant, Cyprien Merjai (platforms 1 and 2) and Chingiz Aitmatov, platform 1 will not be served.
