On Monday 1 June 2026, Cactus shoppi opened a new Cactus shoppi x Goedert convenience store at the Autocenter Goedert Belle Etoile site in Bertrange, marking the second location launched under the partnership between the two Luxembourg family-owned companies.
The opening follows the launch of the first Cactus shoppi x Goedert store in Bereldange and forms part of the continued development of the concept, which combines convenience retail with automotive services. Located at the historic Belle Etoile site, the new store complements the services already offered by Autocenter Goedert with a convenience-focused shopping experience designed for customers on the move.
The store, covering 196 m², stocks more than 1,250 products, including convenience foods, fresh and frozen items, bakery products, sandwiches, hot snacks, ready-made meals, beverages, flowers and non-food products. Customers can also find several Cactus brands and product ranges, including Café Bruno, homemade sandwiches and snacks, Schnékert Traiteur meals and pastries, Haussgemaacht meat and charcuterie products, and Alnatura organic products.
The store will work seven days a week from 06:00 to 21:00 on weekdays and from 07:00 to 21:00 on weekends.
Laurent Schonkert, Director at Cactus, explained: "With the opening of Cactus shoppi x Goedert Belle Etoile, we are taking another important step in the deployment of this convenience concept, designed to support customers in their everyday routines. This iconic site, which has illustrated the trusted relationship between Cactus and Goedert for many years, now welcomes a practical, high-quality and accessible offering that perfectly complements the services already available on site. Following Bereldange, this second opening confirms our ambition to develop modern solutions rooted in mobility, freshness and convenience for Luxembourg consumers."
Michel Goedert, representing the second generation of the Goedert Group's management, added: "We are particularly pleased to strengthen our collaboration today with the Cactus Group and the Leesch family, long-standing partners with whom we have maintained a relationship based on trust and shared values since 1974. The opening of this second Cactus shoppi at the historic Belle Etoile site holds strong symbolic significance for both our groups and demonstrates our shared commitment to continuing the development of innovative local convenience concepts for Luxembourg consumers."
